This project chronicles the daily transit riders of midcoast Maine who relied on the ongoing service of public transportation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. I spent the summer months riding alongside transit commuters and operators, listening to their stories, and noticing the racial, gender, and age demographic breakdown across different forms of transit. Although it was not my initial intent to create a project that reflected daily life during Covid-19, the reality of a world submerged within a pandemic is unmistakably present within each image.
